Abbeyfield France
 The National Society was formed in July 2004. It is the vision of its patron Madame Riviere who, concerned at the high death rate amongst elderly people living on their own during the hot summer of 2003, has sponsored the setting up of the society, and commissioning of its first house. It is hoped to set up the first Abbeyfield house on the outskirts of Paris during 2007.
