Abbeyfield Poland
 A group of academics from the University of Lublin have set up the 'Abbeyfield Society for the Integration of the Generations (Serene Life)'. Lublin is a city 100 miles south east of Warsaw, with a population of 400,000. and origins that date back to the middle ages. The society has bought a plot of land at Zyrzyn, a nearby village community, and has produced architects plans for two 12-bed style Abbeyfield dwellings in the substantial grounds. They are currently engaged in fundraising activity to enable building works to commence.
